All components are resting on early version platforms made my my brother, Bob (audio-resolution.com). The Shigaraki gear has high resonance in the metal, lower in the ceramic, then the platforms' steel top is lower, then hardboard, then MDF, then foam, then a pine shelf. The theory behind the platform is that energy drains to something with a lower resonance. Below each Shigaraki's ceramic I've placed 3 pennies as feet, because without these they rock a bit.

The Scott Nixon TUBEDAC+ and a Lehman phono pre-amp have Aluminum or Steel rectangular blocks on them and under them. When under them, the blocks couple the device to the platform & when above them, they weight them down. Also Sorbothane pucks are placed on top for added vibration damping.

The speakers use Jordan JX92S drivers and are modified transmission line, similar to Ted Jordan's posted design, but shorter. They are made of solid Ash with the edges veneered in Redwood Burl. I sit on the floor, atop a futon, so require my speakers to have a driver centered at about 29 inches from the floor.

My Linn LP12 turntable is 20 years old and was modified back then by a machinist who replaced the thin metal plinth with a half inch steel plinth. With this is a Rega RB 600 and Grado MCX.

Wiring between components are homemade from a spool of DNM thin solid core that I bought more than a dozen years ago when solid core first became popular. Wiring to the speakers is cryogenically treated CAT6e solid core.

I can literally listen through this hi-fi setup all day and never tire. It sounds marvelous with all types of music. I mostly listen to 20th century symphonic works.
