Mehran Farahmand's system 1
(Tokyo, Japan)

I had just bought a Jadis at home in San Francisco. Then I moved to Tokyo, saw a flatfish by accident, fell in love with the design and contacted Yoshi. Next there was lots and lots of emails and phone conversations with Teramura San in Japan, Sead in Bosnia and Yoshi in Boston area. Within a few weeks, I realized that as much as I loved the sound, the design and principles behind the design of the 47 lab goodies, I really enjoyed my new friendship with the 47 lab people who were helping me for hours but NEVER pushing me in making a decision in fact asking me to slow down (e.g. try just one power supply for the gain card first and see what you think).

I truley trusted everyone I dealt with. (Of course I had met some nice sales people in America too but I had felt many times that many of the sales people I had dealt with might as well sell used cars).

Anyways, after a couple of weeks ago I decided on a flatfish and a 25 wpc gaincard (on the top of the table), two 50 wpc power supplies for the gain card and a power supply for the flatfish (under the table), and a shigaraki DAC behind the power supplies! This is a great system. I was in San Francisco a few weeks ago, and I tell you, as much as I love tube and my Jadis, i thought of my 47 lab stuff with their sound, size, etc as a breath of fresh air. Teramura San and Kimura San came over one night to help me set up my system. They stayed over until midnight and help me a lot.

The speakers as you can tell are Sead's Essence speakers. I tried some really fancy speakers and I tell you after listening to Sead's speakers, all the other sounds felt missing something. It uses the same cabling as 47 lab stratos cabling and i love my cables too!!!
