I'll never forget my first contact with the 47 laboratory gear: Sead Lejlic from Konus Audio Systems and 47 Labs Europe's distributor, a friend of mine for more than 20 years, just got the first two Gaincards in Europe. He offered me to listen to one of them in my system "for a few days". I was in a period of changing the amplifiers of various kinds every 2 months (single-ended triodes and pentodes, single-ended mosfets, push-pulls and solid states. All of them were of a famous pedigree but didn't touch me more than a summer breeze. I remember the moment when we hooked up the baby and put Mozart's Piano Sonatas CD with Maria Joao Pires: the sound of piano just filled the room effortlessly and convincingly. I was so touched and moved with the Gaincard's natural presentation of the piano that I immediately said to Sead: This baby stays here!

The same feeling of natural, direct and involving sound came to my mind every time when I added some of the 47 labs component in my system: Flatfish/Progression CD player, Storatos speaker cables, interconnects and power cords. I realized then that the sound of the every other non-47 laboratory component that I'd heard in my life was artificial, manipulated and hopelessly coloured. It's a beautiful thing that a company such as 47 Laboratory exists in the audio world. Junji Kimura and Koji Teramura are, for me, the artists of audio-engineering. They solve some of the main problems in audio, as cabling and connection issues, in a brilliant way. Also, the Flatfish/Progression combo allows me to listen to my CDs completely free from stress that was present from the time I said goodbye to LPs.
